#81 – The bus of life

A brand new and longer strip. This was created for the Matthew Shepard Foundation because December is Mental Health Awareness month. This is a metaphor I learned in therapy that helped me a lot to deal with my anxiety. I hope it helps you too somehow if you also suffer from that.

Do you want to share your experience with anxiety or other mental health issues?

Remember to share it with friends and if Out&About means a lot to you, you can also help fund it with just $3 at

#64- Our blood

All my condolences to families and friends of those who were at ‪#‎pulsenightclub‬. It is so sad that in the same day I got one more year in my life, 50 people had theirs taken in a homophobic act in Orlando. These things happen on a daily basis and systematically all over the globe. Homophobia doesn’t choose class, but it is even worse in lower class neighborhoods and racial minorities, a lot of times not making it to the news. I say systematically because politicians, religious fundamentalists, homophobic people in our families, offices, social circle who use hate speech or their prejudice disguised as “little jokes” to diminish lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender, intersex and queer people are all part of the problem. And our blood is also in their hands.

Let us be strong and love each other.

Out & About’s website is here! :)

Hello English speaking friends from everywhere!

My name is Kris and I’m really excited to present you Out&About, my comics project that I started more than 3 years ago. It tells through comics strips the story of Kevin and his friends: Harry, Ana, Pedro, Thomas, Mary, Juana, Gabriel, Susan and Alex. I’m a Colorado based Brazilian artist and Out&About started in Brazil under the name Torta de Climão, where it became a book in November 2015. After many months of analyzing, studying, translating and adapting, the first strips are here in English for you! I hope you like it!

Scroll down and check out the characters on the side bar. There is also space for you, fellow comics artists and LGBT blog writers, to have a banner on the website’s side bar. Just send me a message and we can have a crossed ad on each other’s website and support each other. If you have a LGBT-oriented/friendly business, you can be a partner and advertise. There is more information on the top menu, take a look there!

Please support my project liking the facebook page, sharing the strips and recommending it to friends! I’d really appreciate your help! Have fun reading and stay tuned to new strips every Monday, Wednesday and Friday! :)
